Hi Mr. Ellett,
Hope your enjoying your holidays, I was just wondering what had happened to those headstart books we had ordered before the end of school and if there was still a chance I could get my hands on one.

Good morning Callum. The holidays are going well, thanks, and I hope you are also having a good break. With respect to the books, I was annoyed to be advised by the suppliers that there were none available (even though I had been assured that I would have them by the Monday of the last week of school). I put it off for another week, intending to come into school, collect the books and post them off to each of you who had made the order. Another phone call ensued, but I was again advised that the books were not available. I then cancelled the order. I will be leaving your monies with Mrs Hubber to be returned to each of you on the first day back at school. I apologise for the inconvenience caused, but I had no control over the situation. If you want to have a go yourself (which might be worth a try now), contact one of the book suppliers (such as Endeavour Books or Campion) and see if you have any luck.
The book is called “Jumpstart Chemistry – Units 3 & 4 Chemistry by Jenny Sharwood, published by Nelson (CEngage Learning). Cost was in the order of $25.95.
